Dear Yuletide Writer,

This is my first Yuletide, and I'm so excited. Please consider everything except my DNWs entirely optional: I'd rather read a story you're really excited about writing than one that follows my prompts, but bums you out. If something in my likes or prompts inspires you to do something entirely different, great!

My AO3 is maplesalad. I am open to treats and happy with any rating, either gen or shippy. If you want to write something shippy, know that I'm thrilled with slash, femslash, het, other, poly, and any combination of those. My requests in other exchanges usually lean shippy, but I'm really not picky, so please don't feel boxed in by that. My catch all letter includes more trope, NSFW, and darkfic likes, if you're interested in that.

General DNWs.

• Permanent death of requested characters, unless prompted.
• On-screen sexual content for characters under 15. On-screen sexual content between characters 15 and over is fine. Implied/off-screen underage is also fine.
• Serious permanent injuries to requested characters and/or major body modification, unless canonical (e.g., Jaime Lannister's hand). Threats of these are fine. Graphic violence generally is fine. Canon-level violence is always okay.
• Kidfic. Minor/background child characters are fine; flashbacks are fine. I DNW fic that focuses on having, raising, or being children.
• Harm to children/babies, including child death (unless canonical).
• Focus on Pregnancy/mpreg*, especially miscarriage. *RE Pregnancy/mpreg: I can handle mpreg for canonically non-human characters. If you really want to write pregnancy in a het ship, go ahead. If you want it in for plot reasons, I'd rather you be vague about details.
• Submissive female characters (in a het ship).
• Gender/sexuality changes and headcanons. Unless specifically requested, I prefer gender identities and sexual orientations to be the same as in canon, except for making characters gay/bi.
• xReader.

Smut DNWs.

• Scat or vomiting in a sexual situation.
• Woundplay/guro (knifeplay is fine! blood generally is fine).
• Kinks related to weight or food.
• Bestiality (werewolves, xeno, etc., all fine; actual animals are a no)
• Age play (daddy kink or age gap kinks are fine; no infantilisation or diapers).
• Unless kink or consent negotiation is part of the characterization in your story, I'd rather leave it out.

Fandoms & Requests

True Detective (TV 2014)
Requesting: Marty Hart, Rust Cohle

I adore season one of True Detective, and I enjoy all types of fics/works about Rust and Marty (either gen or shippy). Maggie Hart is a welcome addition as a complicated, interesting woman. If you'd like to do something that leans into/examines Marty's canonical shitty behavior towards her, that is fine with me! And if you want to write a poly situation, however you imagine it working out, I'd be perfectly happy to read that.
General prompts/likes: I crave a supernatural AU. We already see magic/dark fantasy implied in Rust's visions and in the cult aspects, so what if we lean into that?
I'd like something canon compliant, post-canon, or different first meetings, and everything in between. Crash is cool as hell too. I love the dysfunctional nature of their relationship and complicated loyalty. All the trust Marty puts in Rust. Jesus, I'd eat up absolutely anything for these guys.
Note that I'm definitely fine with canon typical sexual violence here; I would prefer the underage to be non-explicit or off-screen.

Point Break (1991)
Requesting: Bodhi, Johnny Utah, Tyler Endicott

I'm open to gen or ship fic with any combination of these characters, including all of them! Maybe you want to write something pre-canon with Bodhi and Tyler, or maybe a missing scene with Bodhi/Johnny/Tyler, or... you get the picture--these characters are all very interesting to me, and I'll take em any way I can get em.
As for Bodhi and Johnny specifically--They're both lying to each other! Everyone wants to fuck Johnny, and the homoerotic subtext is regular text to me. Johnny recognizes a guy by his ass... Also, Johnny is gorgeous. In any undercover situation, I love identity porn and anything centered around that. Generally speaking, canon divergence or post-canon would be right up my alley, and I also enjoy missing scenes.
I've requested a selkie/mermaid AU before, and would read one hundred different variations on that idea--Bodhi as some kind of supernatural creature is so intriguing. What if Johnny was randomly at a bank when the Ex-Presidents were robbing it? What would Bodhi do? What if one of them saves the other's life, surfing or otherwise? Do they have weird tantric sex? I'd read any kind of AU here too--soulmates, daemons, accidental bonding, whatever. I'd be, like I said, just as happy to see any of these ideas in a gen direction.

Genghis Khan - Miike Snow (Music Video)
Requesting: Gold Nose Villain, Secret Agent, Wife

Minions are welcome! I'm really open to anything here, but here are some ideas to take or leave:
What were GNV and the Secret Agent's previous encounters like? Was GNV always a villain? What do the minions think about all of this? Outsider POV? Are they sick of the antics? Is the WIFE sick of it all? Is she an evil genius? Do they all fall into bed together? Do the GNV and Secret Agent meet again, years later? Does the laser have a Horny setting? I mention in my catch all letter that I'm also open to darker stuff, if that's where your muse takes you.

Darkwood (Video Game)
Requesting: The Stranger, Wolfman, The Pretty Lady

I'd like to say up front that I have not finished this game because I get too scared during the night and also because I am not that good at fighting. But I've put in quite a few hours, especially in the first ~half of the game, and I would not at all mind spoilers. Despite not finishing, I do REALLY enjoy the game, and I kinda have a crush on Wolfman.
I am open to basically anything, including world-building, experimental styles, and darker works. For this specific fandom, I'm waiving my violence/gore/MCD related DNWs--this is a very dark canon and I'm good with you exploring that however you see fit.

Scholomance - Naomi Novik
Requesting: El, Scholomance, Woldbuilding

I'm fine with the addition of any other nominated or canon characters, and anything that really digs into the Scholomance itself or other worldbuilding! I'd also be fine with shipfic about what El and whoever get up to, so go where your heart takes you. 
I earnestly enjoy these books and have reread them several times. I like how El struggles with her morality and impulses and is dragged, kicking and screaming, into doing the right thing, because it's the right thing. Liesel is fucking awesome, also. I love anything diving into these characters, their motivations, and their relationships. No need to avoid spoilers and if you want to get into the hard fucking choices around enclaves and certain malia, and/or what it would mean to have a world where so many kids die, go ahead.
