Recent Reads Oct. 2025
Oct. 29th, 2025 10:42 amDreamwidth is probably as good a place as any to keep track of things I've been reading, and certainly better than the notes app. I don't think I'll have any commentary on anything most of the time. But who knows--thinking critically and jotting it down would make me a better writer, I'm sure.
Stitched to Skin like Family Is by Nghi Vo. I really enjoyed this one and have thought of it regularly since reading.
A Warning to the Curious by M.R. James. Atmospheric, classic. I think the environmental details were the best part for me.
Marginalia by Mary Robinette Kowal. Actually pretty charming in a lot of ways but quite sad. I dunno how I feel about this one.
Why Don't We Just Kill the Kid In the Omelas Hole by Isabel J. Kim. This was quite funny and I'll probably read it again soon.
I'm planning to read a few more of Kim's short stories and other things, which I'll list here to keep track of them.
Human Voices by Isabel J. Kim.
Wire Mother by Isabel J. Kim.
And I want to get to McGlue by Otessa Moshfegh, which is on the bookshelf right now.
